When I first entered the blogosphere, a special apraxia mama told me, “Find joy in the journey.” I wasn’t quite sure what she meant at the time. Happiness during a time of heart break, confusion, exhaustion, and worry? She was going through the same thing I was: our boys were the same age and both knee-deep in the trenches of apraxia. Where was the joy?
My journey continued and those words kept chanting through my head. And slowly, but surely, I started to get it: a trial presents the opportunity for deep, soulful love and gratitude to blossom.
